One of the main reasons for getting married on the Isle of Man was to include Richard’s father, Edward (known to family and friends as Ted) in the wedding. Ted passed away in January 2006 and his ashes were scattered on Maughold Head, a magnificent headland on the north east of the Isle of Man near Ramsey looking out to sea in the direction of the north west coast of England and south western coast of Scotland. Kirk Maughold Parish Church sits below Maughold Head, which looks down to the church and church yard. Maughold Head is host to a working lighthouse that was built in 1914 and Maughold Head Lighthouse can be seen over 20 miles out to sea.
